Pick-up times will be from 10:30-11:30 in the elementary parking lot on Tuesday, June 9, and Thursday, June 11. You will receive meals for the week these days. Deliveries for the week will be on Tuesday, June 9. We will be doing our deliveries with our buses again so, please be watching for a bus. Some deliveries will still be made by vehicles. Delivery orders need to be submitted before 9:00 AM on Friday, June 5. Hi Mesick families! This week’s focus is going to be on the family. Research shows that spending meaningful and fun time together as a family has a variety of benefits. Here are just a few of them. 1. Better Behavior Kids need strong, loving relationships with family members in order to develop well. Research shows that when teens spend more time with their parents, they are less likely to skip school or get in trouble with the law. Spending that quality time together as a family may be key to helping your kids stay out of trouble in the future! 2. Less Stress Feeling stressed by all your responsibilities? Take a break and have some family fun! Studies show that leisure can be an effective way to both cope with stress and protect against stress’s negative health impacts. So try making time for play time as a family to reduce stress for both you and your kids. 3. Stronger Family Bonds Time together doing something relaxing or enjoyable can help you draw closer together. Just like couples benefit from sharing fun activities, families need fun too! In fact, research supports the fact that spending leisurely time together as a family improves family bonding and satisfaction. Below is a change to meal pickup at the parking lot in the back of the Elementary School starting the week of June 15th, 2020. Tuesday Pickup Meal Time: 10:30 am – 11:30am Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch Days Included: Meals for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Friday Pickup Meal Time: 10:30 am – 11:30am Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch Days Included: Meals for Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Deliveries will continue on Tuesdays through June 30, June 30 will be the last day for delivery. We will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of Independence Day. Please plan on picking up five days of meals on Thursday July 2nd. We hope to see you there!
