Elementary Enrichment/ Reading Teacher

Seeking an elementary teacher passionate about providing engaging and enriching experiences for students. The full-time position will consist of a split placement between enrichment instruction and reading support. The ideal candidate will be able to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning in our elementary students. Must be State of Michigan certified and highly qualified for grades K-5. Additional certifications are a plus.

  • Ability to design engaging thematic units that integrate hands-on activities and experiences that cater to diverse learning styles

  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to take risks, ask questions, and explore their interests

  • Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction to enhance student learning experiences

  • Support reading instruction through targeted interventions, small group activities, and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align literacy instruction with curriculum goals and objectives

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify student interests and incorporate them into thematic unit planning

  • Evidence of commitment to professional growth

School Counselor /Social Worker 6-12 Grade – Mesick JR/SR High

 Qualifications:

·         NT Endorsement / MA and School Counseling License or MSW preferred.

·         Previous experience working as a Middle or High School Guidance Counselor or Social Worker.

·         Knowledge of Common Core State Standards as well as workforce and college readiness standards.

·         Strong understanding of and comfort with the use of technology in educational setting.

·         Ability to implement strategies to meet the academic, developmental, social-emotional, and post-secondary needs of all students.

·         Ability to connect students with academic, career, and health resources (locally and beyond), in order to ensure success.

·         Experience with PowerSchool preferred.

·         Ability to establish and maintain positive and long lasting relationships with students, peers, parents, and community.

·         Support and participate in district and building level school improvement initiatives and plans.

·         Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practice and

             student achievement.

 4 ¼ hours per day - this is a union position.

Position to be paid per Master Contract with MESPA

 Mesick Schools will pay for all required training.

 Must meet all State requirements.

Must have CDL Class B License with P, S and air brake endorsements.

Must sign release of driving record from Michigan State Police.

Must be State/FBI fingerprinted.

Junior Varsity Football Assistant Coach
