The PTO presented staff with a special thank you today, to recognize what they do all year long. Thank you to all the wonderful educators we have in our community who continually go above and beyond the call of duty for our children and families.

Winter is here to stay! Please make sure your child has ALL the snow garb for outdoor play every day.

Juniors and seniors in Investigative Literature spent the day before Thanksgiving break working on a fictional, holiday themed, murder-mystery logic puzzle. The students used a list of 30 clues to determine the perpetrator, the motive, and the timeline of the crime, while also deciphering which clues were red-herrings or irrelevant information.

Our sincere gratitude goes out to the high school students and NHS volunteers for their outstanding assistance in unloading canned goods during this year's successful food drive!

We are thrilled to announce that our canned food drive was a tremendous success, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our entire school community! We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved.
We had a GRAND TOTAL of 5,434 items donated!
The elementary school alone collected 2,061 items!
Our Jr/Sr High collected 1,804 items!
Staff brought in 132 items!
The community brought in a total of 1,437 items!
-To our students and their families: Your enthusiasm and commitment to helping those in need truly made a difference. Your donations will directly support local families facing food insecurity.
-To our dedicated staff: Thank you for coordinating the efforts, promoting the drive, and fostering a spirit of compassion and giving within the school.
-To our wonderful community members: Your support reminds us that we are part of a caring and connected community that looks out for one another.
Because of this collective generosity, we collected a fantastic amount of canned goods that will stock local food pantries just in time for the upcoming holiday season. It is inspiring to see what we can achieve when we work together. Thank you for making our school a beacon of kindness and community spirit!

Students in Environmental Studies completed a STEM challenge attempting to build the highest spaghetti tower. Each team received 25 sticks of spaghetti, 1 marshmallow, 1 yard of tape, and a paperclip. Some groups focused on building a solid base, while others tried immediately for height! It was a great way to use STEM skills and group problem solving!

Congratulations to our elementary students who achieved Honor Roll status for Q1! Well done little bulldogs!

These 3 kiddos are always showing our school's core values. They are good listeners, follow directions, help their classmates and are kind! They were rewarded for their excellent behavior with a golden coin for the school's book vending machine where they can choose from a variety of wonderful picture books!

❄️Mesick Jr/Sr High Dress Up Days! ❄️

📣 IMPORTANT UPDATE: New Morning Drop-Off Procedures Start Wednesday, Dec 3rd!

What a weekend for Mesick Boys Basketball! Twenty-eight boys had an awesome time at the school "lock-in", embracing the E.A.T. Mindset and bonding through senior-led group activities. Huge shout out to senior leaders Issac Stroh, Landon Hall, Jaeden Simpson, and Josh Walker for making this a fantastic and successful event! A special thank you from Coach Hall to everyone who made this event happen for our Boys Basketball program!

Congratulations to Mrs. Cunningham's class for winning the weekly trophy for best behavior in the lunch line for the third consecutive week! Their exceptional conduct has earned them recognition and a special goody bag reward.

Santa Shop is coming to town!

Students in Mrs. Elliot's English 10 are reading the Holocaust Memoir Night by Elie Wiesel. They participated in a gamified group quiz after the first two chapters where they had to race to answer the question correctly and "capture a flag" from an opposing group.

Just a reminder from these 2nd grade turkeys, no school 11/26-11/28! Have a safe and happy holiday! 🦃

Today was a huge success as Mr. Romero's 1st and 5th-hour Civics classes presented their full-scale Presidential Campaigns in the high school gymnasium! Students have demonstrated incredible dedication, creating everything from political parties and platforms to propaganda and planks. The energy in the gym was fantastic as our "Presidential Candidates" delivered powerful speeches, campaigning for votes and articulating their visions for the "Presidency." Classes were invited to attend the event, listen to the diverse platforms, and participate by casting their votes for the candidate they believed should win the election. The ballots are in and being counted! Stay tuned for the official election results to find out who our student body elected as their next "President." A massive congratulations to all the students involved for bringing civics to life!

Wishing everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving next week!
