Last week, our Mesick Jr. High 7th graders swapped the classroom for an action-packed day of fun and creativity! The adventure kicked off at Incredible MO’s with strikes, spares, and plenty of arcade action. Afterward, the students headed to the Dennos Museum Center for an inspiring guided tour, wrapping up the day by rolling up their sleeves for a hands-on art project. It was the perfect mix of play, culture, and creativity. We are so proud of how well our students represented Mesick! Thank you to our amazing staff and chaperones for making this such a memorable, fun-filled day of learning and team building for our 7th graders!

Our kindergarten students recently enjoyed a wonderful field trip to the Boardman River Nature Center! We hiked nature trails, searched for frogs and turtles in a pond, and participated in engaging learning games in an open field. This hands-on nature study helped students deepen their understanding of how plants grow, building on the learning they have been doing throughout the year.

We also enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch in the pavilion, which was especially meaningful because it was funded and built through the efforts of one of our students' grandparents!

On the way home, we made a special stop at Blair Township Park, where the students had time to play and cool off with popsicles. A generous parent picked up the treats for us before we boarded the bus back to school, making the day even more memorable.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the amazing parents and grandparents who volunteered to chaperone. Your support, enthusiasm, and willingness to spend the day with us helped make this field trip a wonderful experience for everyone. We couldn't have done it without you!

The varsity softball and baseball teams wrapped up their seasons this weekend at the district tournaments in Bear Lake, fighting hard until the final innings.

🥎 Varsity Softball: The Bulldogs kicked off districts on Friday with a dominant 14-7 victory over host Bear Lake. They advanced to the championship game, where they fell just short in a tight 2-0 battle against Onekama. The ladies finish an incredible season with an overall record of 22-6.

Next Stop: Junior High!

Moving up to junior high is a major milestone, and our 5th graders are already crushing it! To help them get a feel for their next big adventure, the upcoming class recently spent some quality time exploring the Jr/Sr High School.

Here is a quick look at how they spent their sneak peek:

👋 Meeting the Team: They connected with future junior high teachers and got answers to all their big questions.

🗺️ Finding Their Way: Students toured the hallways to build up their confidence and get their bearings before the fall.

🛠️ Exploring New Spaces: From checking out the library to getting a firsthand look at the wood shop, they got a taste of the exciting opportunities ahead.

Transitions can bring a mix of nerves and excitement, but this hands-on preview proved that our 5th graders are more than ready for the challenge. We are so proud of them and can't wait to officially welcome them to the junior high family this fall!
