Mesick is so lucky to have an onsite nurse who is so patient and really works to build positive relationships. Nurse Tonnia came to our classroom and taught importance of good handwashing. Her special light showed us how good or not so good we did!

Check out what our sophomores are reading in Mrs. Eliiot's English 10 class! Every student in English 10 reads twice per week from a self-selected book. Some students finished multiple 1st quarter. As a class, they have participated in book tastings, shared plots of their novels, noted significant quotes, and written recommendations.

The annual NHS Food Drive is underway! You can help by bringing in non-perishable items or making a monetary donation—every dollar goes toward purchasing more food for the cause. All donations benefit the Mesick Community Pantry. Elementary students can drop off donations to their classroom teacher, while Jr/Sr High students have drop-off locations for each grade level. Results will be posted weekly for each building!

Mesick School Ski Club encourages families who are interested in skiing with us at Crystal Mountain this winter to check out the details on our new Facebook group. Sign up for ski passes through Crystal Mountain ends on November 25th.

The Bulldog Drumline will provide a high-energy sendoff, leading the team through the school hallways and then downtown along 115, around 10 A.M. We would love for our Mesick Community to join us and help send them off!
This is a historic year for Mesick cross country!
The boys' team has qualified for the State Meet for the first time since 1988!
Alyssa is our first female runner to qualify since 2005. She also broke the school cross country record at last weekend's regional race!
Come out and support our runners as they compete in the biggest race of their season!

The Bulldogs had a great day at Regionals in Benzie today. The highlights:
15 athletes took home personal or season records.
3 athletes earned All-Region honors.
Kyle Redman was Regional Champion for the second time of his career. Ty Redman was Runner-up and Alyssa Spicer was 9th.
7 athletes are headed to state finals next week!
The Boys team of Kyle Redman, Ty Redman, Kyle Doty, Alex Kastl, Gunnar Hallett and Harper Musta took 3rd place, qualifying for state finals for the first time since 1988!
The girls team of Alyssa Spicer, Jewlia Trowbridge, Paula Cuadra, Krystal Staffen, Hayley Williams and Hayden Petitt took 6th place, their best finish since 2010, with Alyssa qualifying as an individual. She is the first Mesick girl to qualify for state finals since assistant coach Kari Musta (Dinsmore) in 2005.
The JV team of Shawn Haselton, Tony Powell, Connor Hiday and Logan Simerson as well as 8th grader Wyatt Musta competed in the PROM race and all 5 earned personal or season bests for 5K.
Alyssa's 20:05 and Kyle's 15:40 are new school records!

Junior High Cross Country wrapped up their season on Wednesday at the MHSAA Middle School Regional in Cadillac.
The boys and girls races were each ran as one big race, then separated into big and small school divisions. The Bulldogs ran well in what was for most of them their final junior high race. Results for the Bulldogs in the small school division.
