Congratulations to Mrs. Cunningham's class for winning the weekly trophy for best behavior in the lunch line for the third consecutive week! Their exceptional conduct has earned them recognition and a special goody bag reward.

Santa Shop is coming to town!

Students in Mrs. Elliot's English 10 are reading the Holocaust Memoir Night by Elie Wiesel. They participated in a gamified group quiz after the first two chapters where they had to race to answer the question correctly and "capture a flag" from an opposing group.

Just a reminder from these 2nd grade turkeys, no school 11/26-11/28! Have a safe and happy holiday! 🦃

Today was a huge success as Mr. Romero's 1st and 5th-hour Civics classes presented their full-scale Presidential Campaigns in the high school gymnasium! Students have demonstrated incredible dedication, creating everything from political parties and platforms to propaganda and planks. The energy in the gym was fantastic as our "Presidential Candidates" delivered powerful speeches, campaigning for votes and articulating their visions for the "Presidency." Classes were invited to attend the event, listen to the diverse platforms, and participate by casting their votes for the candidate they believed should win the election. The ballots are in and being counted! Stay tuned for the official election results to find out who our student body elected as their next "President." A massive congratulations to all the students involved for bringing civics to life!

Wishing everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving next week!

Our Jr High students have been having a blast with Mrs. Monroe's "Mystery Books!" It's a fun new way to explore the library shelves and discover exciting new stories. It's a page-turning mystery! Students choose a book that's wrapped, check the book out, and unwrap it in class. You can’t judge a book by its cover when there isn't one!

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Walker's class are studying folktales and recently finished reading the Three Little Pigs. We practiced retelling the story with the characters, straw, sticks and 'Lego" bricks. We made it a STEM activity by testing out which materials blow down more easily. Can you guess what material was the strongest? These kiddos sure are having fun retelling the story!

8th graders in English just finished a debate regarding Frankenstein. Should Victor create a friend for his creature? Students stated their claims in opening arguments, provided evidence and counterarguments in their rebuttals, and solidified their opinion in their conclusions. Mrs. Abraham was the judge and ultimately ruled with those against Victor creating a friend for his creature in 4th hour, while in 7th hour, those who were in favor of Victor creating a friend for his creature won.
The Mesick basketball season is officially underway! Here are the schedules for all basketball teams for the 2025-2026 season. Please note that all games are subject to change, so be sure to check the school's official website for the latest updates.

Mesick is so lucky to have an onsite nurse who is so patient and really works to build positive relationships. Nurse Tonnia came to our classroom and taught importance of good handwashing. Her special light showed us how good or not so good we did!
