Cash Opportunity for the Class of 2021: A letter was mailed home a few weeks ago about a new program we will be implementing for your class. Our program is called College-Bound Mesick, & it includes a few different exciting initiatives.
For right now, we'd like you to focus on the first step of the first initiative - “6 Steps to $600.” We received a grant to promote the College Board’s Opportunity Scholarships & the steps included in applying for them. There are six steps in the program, including building a college list, updating your college list, applying to colleges, practicing for the SAT, improving your score from your PSAT/NMSQT that you took last fall, & completing your FAFSA. Our initiative offers you a chance to win $600 for completing these six steps. Any member of the Mesick Class of 2021 who completes these six steps will be entered into a drawing for $600; this drawing is only for Mesick students, so one of you will win! Each of these steps also enters you into the College Board’s scholarship competitions, so you have a chance at even more money. These are steps we would like all of our students to be taking, so we wanted to offer an incentive to you for completing the steps. The first step is building your college list on the College Board website, & that needs to be done by the end of July. You have two weeks left to complete this step! You can probably complete this step in a half hour or less. Please take the time to follow the instructions below.
Login to your College Board account.
Scroll to the bottom & click on Opportunity Scholarships.
Use the search engine to find colleges that might be possibilities for you.
Save at least six colleges to your college list by July 31.
Email Mrs. Rasmussen with any questions. :-)

Because of the current guidelines on social distancing and gathering indoors, the July 31st prom at Greystone is cancelled. It will not be rescheduled. We were hoping for a better outcome and apologize for the inconvenience this causes.

Hello again Everyone,
After communicating all morning with 9&10 weather and our sound and technical teams and gathering the best information we have available, we have determined that the forecasted weather presents too many risks to have a safe ceremony tonight. We have made the decision to postpone the graduation ceremony until this Sunday June 28th at 1:00 pm. The student walk-through of the JR/SR High will take place beginning at 11:45 until 12:30. Students should report to the staging area near the concession stand by 12:45. The decision to postpone was made with safety in mind and knowing that we have a safer and more enjoyable option for our graduates and guests on Sunday. We have waited this long to provide the best ceremony to the class of 2020. We will only need to wait 2 more days. We are sorry for any inconvenience this creates for you and your family.

Hello Everyone,
As you know, graduation is scheduled for tonight at 7:00. If you have been looking at the weather, you also know that we have a risk of severe storms this evening as well. We are keeping an eye on the radar, making contact with our connection at 9&10 weather, and communicating with our sound and technical crews, and we will be making decisions accordingly. We will have a final decision about the ceremony by 1:00 at the latest. Please keep an eye on your email, Facebook, and the live feed for further updates.

On Monday, June 29th at 7:30 am, the outdoor athletic fields will be having the grass treated. We will be spraying for weeds and applying fertilizer. Because of this, the outdoor athletic complex will be closed through Tuesday. Please avoid this area beginning Monday morning at 7:30 am. Thank you for your cooperation. Go Bulldogs!
