Pop Can Art Fundraiser! Donate your pop cans/bottles (non alcohol) and/or receipts to the Mesick Jr/Sr Art Room through the end of the school year! All funds go towards art materials.

Mesick JR/SR just finished a successful lockdown drill.
The Mobile IMAX Theatre is set up and showing. Throughout the day today students will be watching short educational films. Incredibles 2 will be the feature film this evening for Family Movie Night. Doors open at 5:30 and the movie starts at 6:00. We hope to see you this evening.




Our senior class is attending a breakfast with Governor Whitmer at the Wex in Cadillac this morning.


Our school is amazing - we have learning games teachers can check out from our library! First graders loved applying their knowledge about telling time with one of these games. Great math and teamwork practice!

Mesick’s eighth grade students are learning about surface temperatures and using different types of surfaces for comparison.



Learning fractions can be so much fun and tasty! 3rd graders used Skittles to learn about parts in a set.

Third graders enjoyed our Mackinaw presentation on Michigan history this morning!



2nd graders are crazy about reading. Book fair next week. We look at books on Tuesday and kids can buy Wednesday night at Family Fun Night or Thursday during school.



Kindergarten pretended to live like a colonist today. We baked bread, made butter, and colonial hats. We decided homemade bread is best, but it takes a lot of work.

Today, the kindergarteners learned about being bakers. We would like to thank Jennifer at Jennifer’s Roundabout Restaurant for showing us how to bake and answering all of our questions. She even brought us piping hot cinnamon rolls to try.
