At the Mesick Jr/Sr High School someone pulled a fire alarm. We had the fire department respond to ensure everything was clear before we had students reenter the building. Everything was all clear and the school is back to normal and all students are safe.

Mesick Consolidated School's official last day of school will be Tuesday, June 18 with a noon dismissal for students.
Mr. Nimcheski’s 6h grade science students are building greenhouses for their strawberry plants out of repurposed materials. Once complete, they will measure the area, record temperatures, and calculate average (mean) temperature. The goal is to better understand how the sun and atmosphere interact. Science in action!

Junior, McKensey Kendall's art work was selected for the 2019 NMC Juired High School Arts Show. Her artwork will also be judged by the Dennos Museum Center to be displayed at the Museum! Opening Reception is May 17 at 5:30. Congratulations, McKensey!
Tonight's JV baseball game at Traverse City Saint Francis has been cancelled. Due to injury and illness we do not have enough players for a full team. This game will not be rescheduled.

Today 5th grade students spent some time reading with kindergarten. Our students benefit from and enjoy doing this.

The Elementary Jump-A-Thon fundraiser is underway! Our students have a week left to collect donations. The event will take place on May 10, 2019.
How does my child collect donations?
DO ask parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, friends and coworkers and employers if they would like to support your child’s school. DO NOT go door to door or ask strangers for donations. It is not safe and is not encouraged by Mesick Elementary.
What are my options for donating?
1. Provide your child a flat donation (cash or check)
2. Ask family and friends to support your child’s effort
in the Jump-a-thon.
Do I collect donations now?
YES! All donations are due on or before May 9, 2019, by 2:00 pm. Please collect and enclose all cash and checks in the attached envelope and return to your child’s teacher. PLEASE MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO MESICK ELEMENTARY! Please write child’s name and teacher in memo portion of check.
