We had a special visitor today at the elementary. Students were able to talk to Santa, eat cookies, and every student received a gift. Thanks so much to everyone who made this possible.

Congratulations to Rachel Wienclaw who signed her letter of intent to play soccer at Muskegon Community College next Fall. Before attending MCC next Fall, Rachael will be playing Goalie for the Buckley/Mesick Co-Op Soccer Team in it's debut season this Spring.

Way to go, guys!

Elementary students participating in holiday spirit week.

The 7th/8th grade and SR High bands did a great job at their concert Monday night. Not to mention looking sharp in their new uniforms!

Thanks to a generous donation, our Elementary school was able to purchase 8 Breakout kits! These kits are very similar to the concept of an escape room. Students have to work together and problem solve to reveal clues to unlock the box. The box can contain some type of reward that the teacher chooses.
Third grade had an absolute blast working together to open the breakout box! They had to use their newly acquired knowledge about context clues to solve the problems and eventually open their breakout box! We are super excited to complete more of these challenges!

Attention Alumni: We will be hosting the 2019 Mesick High School Basketball Alumni Game on Saturday, January 19th at the High School. If you have any questions or woud like to sign up, please contact Coach Duby in the Athletic Department! Also, the girls basketball teams will be playing tonight at MCC at 6:00 pm and the boys will be playing tomorrow night in Walkerville at 6:00 pm. Have a great week!

We are seeking interest from all stakeholders regarding starting school before Labor Day. The ISD has again received a three-year waiver for all schools within the WMISD to begin before Labor Day. It appears that enough schools in the ISD will be starting before Labor Day which will open the CTC and WMISD before Labor Day. This is not stating that Mesick Schools will be starting before Labor Day nor does this mean that we will not. This is purely information gathering. Regardless of the start date on the next school year calendar, Mesick students will still be required to attend school for 180 days and have at least 1,098 clock hours as required by state law.
