Kim Lint was a beloved kindergarten teacher here in Mesick for 34 years, who just retired last year. Mrs. Lint touched and blessed so many lives in her teaching career here; she had a real gift for building relationships with students. It is with great sadness we share that she passed away last night after a short, unexpected illness. She will certainly be missed. Students were informed of Mrs. Lint's death at school today. Our counselors are available to them if they need a place to talk or cry. Please keep the family in your thoughts & prayers during this difficult time.

It was a bittersweet weekend for Mesick Athletics. Our football team traveled to Kingston Friday night for the first round of the MHSAA playoffs but unfortunately were not able to bring home a win. The magical season has come to an end but not before the boys were able to make history as conference champions and notch 11 selections to the WMD All Conference team. It was an amazing year for these guys and it will not be the last time we hear about them! On Saturday afternoon at the Cross Country State Finals Grant Fleis ran the race of his life and finished 27th overall. This outstanding performance allowed Grant to bring home a medal and also got him selected to the Division 4 Boys All-State Cross Country Team. Congratulations Grant and we can't wait to see what you do as a Senior! Monday provided a big time performance from the Mesick Volleyball team as they beat rival Buckley in the first round of District play. The girls will be playing tonight at 6:00 pm vs Traverse City Christian in the District Semi-Final. We hope to see everyone there cheering on the girls as they look to play in their second district championship in the last 3 years. Also tonight our JH Boys Basketball team will be playing in their second contest of the season at Bear Lake. On Monday the boys split with Brethren and are looking to rebound tonight at 5:30 pm. Have a great week everyone and we hope to see you at the game!
