Hi Mesick families!
As we wrap up Memorial Day celebrations, this week’s topic of gratitude seems pretty relevant!
We’ve touched on this subject before, but it’s so important, it’s worth reviewing again.
Gratitude can:
-improve physical health
-improve sleep
-improve psychological health
-increase empathy
-reduce aggression
-enhance self-esteem
-improve mental strength
-increase social connection
And more...!
“Gratitude turns what we have into enough.” -unknown
Have a wonderful week,
-Ms. Stevens

First, here is the link for the Encouragement jar activity from yesterday (it didn’t come though)

In the attached photos, you’ll find a guide for playing “strengths bingo” as a family. Give it a try!
“Quiet that voice of doubt inside you. You are good enough. You deserve good things. You are smart enough. You are worthy of love and respect. You are amazing just the way you are.”
Have a great day!

We are extremely proud to announce that during the Fall and Winter seasons of the 2019-2020 school year, 22 Mesick Student-Athletes were recognized as Academic All-Conference in the West Michigan "D" League. It is difficult to be a student-athlete, but it is even more difficult to do it at a high level! The following Mesick Student-Athletes received this honor: Seniors - McKensey Kendall, Joseph Stewart, Tyler Ford, Elizabeth Hamilton, Tanner Ford, Colin Cook, and Tenzin McGregor. Juniors - Kaylee O'Neill, Gabe Parrish, Mitchell Rogers, Maggie Shermak, Ivy Kendziorski, Julie Musial, Trinity Harris, and Cole Spencer. Sophomores - Connor Simmer, Lexy Abraham, Clayton Stimmer, Kaylee Carson, Mattie Akom, Shannyn Spencer, and Jillian Hillier. Congratulations to all! Certificates for this achievement will be available for pick-up on June 1st which will also be the next pick up for learning packets.

Since we are approaching the official start to summer season this weekend, tonight's Quizziz will be Summer Trivia! This will be our last Quizziz for the week. WE will not have a Quizziz on Friday so that Senior Awards can be attended. Good luck everyone!

Hi Mesick families!
Day 2 on self-esteem.
Kids who feel good about themselves have the confidence to try new things. They are more likely to try their best. They feel proud of what they can do! Self-esteem helps kids cope with mistakes and try again if they fail at first. This can help them do better in school, at home, and with friends and family.
Here is a fun video for younger kids, all about what makes them special!

Here is an encouragement jar activity for older kids (or for the whole family). There is such amazing power in beautiful words!

Have a great day!

KRN Summer Program, Grades K-3
Did you know that every Kids Read Now book includes a Discovery Sheet, on the inside of the front cover?
The Discovery Sheet includes:
-Specially designed questions to help your child
-Unique 3 digit code for reporting
-How to report the book to receive a new book
Are you discussing the questions with your kiddo? These questions help your child relate the book to themselves, to other books, and to the world.
Hope you all are healthy & enjoying your books in the mail!

Hello Bulldogs, I wanted to let elementary parents know that packets and personal items that were not picked up last week will be delivered this morning with our busses during our lunch delivery.
