Students in Ms.Breland's debate class practiced their public speaking and confidence skills by reciting spoken word poetry that they wrote themselves. Their poems covered a variety of topics -- from an ode to cheese and the passing of pets to an appreciation of music or a really good hug. The students acknowledged their peers with encouraging snaps and built a little bit of classroom community before they do their next debate!

Huge shoutout to our Varsity Boys Basketball Senior Captains Jaeden Simpson and Landon Hall on receiving their official "Team Captain" plaques! From the locker room to the classroom, these two have set the bar for what it means to lead this program. 🏀

Raising funds to improve athletic programs and facilities.
Supporting teams from the field and diamond to the weight room.
Building a powerhouse support system for every Bulldog athlete.

Kindergarten students are currently studying weather patterns and seasons. Thanks to Mr. Webb from the WMISD, students recently used VR headsets for a virtual exploration of storms. Our curriculum continues next week with a focus on storm safety.

Season Wrap-Up from Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Nate Hall:
Last night was a fantastic celebration of our student-athletes' hard work and success. It was a privilege to honor our Seniors and specifically highlight our All-State All-Academic recipients. Balancing elite athletics with academic excellence is no small feat! A special thank you to our guest speaker, Tyler Whitcomb, Athletic Director and Recruiting Coach at Kuyper College, for sharing his insight and encouragement.
