Dear Parents,
As many of you know the schools were placed into secure phase this morning. We had an unknown vehicle on school property. All of the students were safe during our secure phase. After contacting law enforcement with no threat found, secure phase was lifted. I know hearing of a secure phase can be a concern, but we will always err on the side of caution. I am very thankful for Mr. Fowler and his experience.

Todays varsity baseball/softball game has been rescheduled for this Friday in Mesick at 430 PM.

Tonights varsity baseball/softball game has been cancelled. Also, the JH track meet has been cancelled along with JH track practice.

JV Softball places second in Cadillac’s tournament. Great job ladies!!

Attention: Tomorrow's bus for the JV softball tournament in Cadillac will be leaving the HS at 10:30 am. Also, congratulations to the Mesick boys varsity track team for running strong today at the Marion Invitational and placing second! They will be bringing home a plaque to add to the trophy case! The girls track team was also in action and turned in some very impressive performances. They finished 4th overall and had multiple girls place in the top 6 in their events! JV softball also turned in a solid performance tonight as they split a pair with Cadillac. Well done girls!

Mesick 11th graders visited Ferris State University today for a campus tour, admissions presentation, & great lunch at The Rock Cafe. Students learned about the many great programs at Ferris & how a college education can help them maximize their earning potential in the future.

Mesick High School students had the opportunity to visit and learn more about opportunities with the Army National Guard.

A BIG thank you to Erma Hensel, Rose Clous, St. Raphael Church, Pam McPherson for your art donations! The students appreciate your support!
If you make a donation, please attach your name. We love giving shout outs!

What is the reason for an Jump-a-thon?
We understand budgets are tighter, so rather than the traditional catalog fundraiser that requires us to split the profits in the fundraiser company’s favor, Mesick Elementary has replaced their fundraising with a Jump-a-Thon. This will allow parents and business community to donate directly to Mesick Elementary, so we can provide the services and programs that enrich our elementary students’ school experience. New prize incentives will be available for your child to earn. It’s also a great opportunity to educate our Bulldogs about physical fitness, while supporting a good cause for their school community.

Mr. Redman and Mr. Nimcheski took the 6th grade students out to pick up trash around the JR/SR High on Earth Day yesterday. They did a great job cleaning up our little corner of this amazing planet.

Happy Earth Day! We learned a lot about how to take care of our one and only Earth today. We took a walk around the school and picked up a lot of trash and things that could be recycled. Great job 1st Grade, you all make this earth a better place!
