This is a link to a live lab especially for chemistry students but all are welcome to get the student sheet and participate. There are going to be several of these if you go to flinnsci.com under live science labs, the only drawback being they require about an hour of wifi. The website does have other activities in other science subjects than chemistry as well. Definitely something interesting to do and get extra credit too.

I sent out an email to my students and their families today. Unfortunately not everyone in our class got an email because I don’t have email addresses for everyone. If any students have new or updated emails please send me an email at fordm@mesick.org and I will get that updated. Thank you. I hope everyone is staying healthy.

Hello All,
Lunch pick-up and deliveries will continue through out the stay at home order. We do ask that if you complete the form for lunches to please pick them up, we do not want food to go to waste. Lunches that will be delivered will be placed on the porch or next to the door then will knock and leave. I hope every stays safe and healthy.
Let's keep working together so we can get the kids back in school!

Band Students and Parents - While school is 'paused', you can still check your Google Classrooms every few days for different activities to help keep your playing skills fresh!

Hello Bulldogs! I hope all is well. Ms. Beilfuss has created a website with resources for parents to use at home with their students for music education. This is a great site with lots of fun activities. Great job Ms. Beilfuss! Check out the link. https://beilfussd.wixsite.com/msbeilfussmusic

I know how much our students enjoyed the recent visit we had from the John Ball Zoo and yesterday I found these really fun videos from the Cincinnati Zoo featuring a new animal every day at 3:00. Today's video is about the Lions! There are even some fun activities you can do that coordinate with the animal you see each day. Previous videos are also available and include Sloths, an Ocelot, a Porcupine and a Hippo! You can find the videos at the Cincinnati Zoo website under the Home Safari Resources page or you can also find them on YouTube. The link is below. Kind of like a field trip from the comfort of your home!

Another option for online learning preK-2, I was able to get a free school code for ABCMouse. You can add up to 3 children per household. Make sure to use the website listed on the photo and the school code.
Happy Learning!

Another assignment I usually give at this time is to make a family tree, except instead of the usual the goal is to track characteristics, like eye color, hair color, baldness, earlobe attachment, cleft chin, ear point and so on so we can use it to show how genetics-inheritance works. You could even try to track medical conditions like high blood pressure, talk to your folks to make sure they are comfortable with it. The other thing that sometimes comes up is difficulty tracing family, so if you have trouble with that find a celebrity you want to be "part of your family" and that you can find a picture of so you can see the traits you are tracking. There are lots of examples on line if you look, be creative and have fun.
