
Transportation Update
This afternoon, Monday, November 16 = bus 2011, Cheri's bus will be running about 1 hour behind schedule. Please contact the school's office if you would like to arrange student pick-up 231-885-1200.

With the change in state orders, in person ski club sign up has been canceled. However, you can still sign up. Ski Club packets will be available for pick up in the elementary and high school offices beginning November 16th. Forms can be turned into the offices through December 11 for the $1 club fee. After December 11 the club fee will be $5. You must have completed forms returned by December 16 to be eligible to attend the first ski trip.

Last night the MHSAA informed schools across the state that all athletic activities must be suspended immediately. What this means for Mesick is that our amazing volleyball run must be put on hold, junior high boys basketball and girls jv/v basketball must pause, and the boys jv/v basketball start date will be pushed back. As of right now, the target date for a return to athletics is December 8th. We appreciate your patience and will share information as it is made available.

As I am sure many of you are aware of the recently released MDHHS Order that becomes effective on Wednesday, November 18., we are receiving this information the same time you are, I appreciate your patience and understanding. P lease look for more information on how Mesick Schools will address this order by the end of the day tomorrow.

Mesick Volleyball Regional Champions!!

Mesick High School National Honor Society is hosting a Non-perishable food drive November 3rd through 8:30 am December 2nd. All donations will go to the Mesick Community Pantry. Elementary students can participate in a classroom competition by bringing in either a non-perishable food donation or a monetary contribution! All money will go to buy food items. The class with the most donations will win an ice cream party!

Congratulations to Jewlia Pruden, 6th grade, for her poster being selected by the Mesick Lions Club to move onto the Governor's level of judging for the International Peace Poster Contest! Jewlia's poster will be judged along with 46 other students in the state to possibly advance to the National and International level! Way to go!


Principal’s advisory students celebrated international kindness day by placing hand written positive messages on every locker and creating cool posters to hang throughout the school. Happy #Mesickkindnessday !




The NHS sponsored food drive has been underway for a couple weeks now and ends on December 2nd. With the holidays fast approaching, lets make them a little brighter for those in need. All donations stay local and go to the Mesick Community Pantry.


Reminder mobile dentist will be coming to Mesick Elementary on Monday, November 16th. Forms are available in the office if you would like your child to see the dentist. The mobile dentist will be following strict procedures to ensure the health and safety of all participants.

Tomorrow night's Regional Final game at Buckley has been cancelled.
Mesick will be moving on to the Quarterfinals on Monday night at 6pm in Manton vs the winner of Onekama and Fowler. More information will be available at a later time. Please email Coach Duby at dubyk@mesick.org with any questions.

Although we are not able to hold our annual Veterans' Day Assembly, Mesick Consolidated Schools would like to say "thank you" to all veterans. The Mesick Volleyball Team does it again!! The girls become the first volleyball team in school history to advance to the regional final! The regional final will be Thursday in Buckley vs the winner of Leland and Hale. Information regarding tickets and the number of spectators will be released tomorrow. Congratulations girls!

Congratulations to Grant Fleis who placed 30th out of 246 runners today at the State Cross Country Finals! This is the second consecutive year Grant has finished in the top 30, and earned All State honors. Great job Grant!
