
The second round of Superintendent interviews will take place in the Mesick JR/SR High School Commons on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. The interviews are scheduled as follows:
6:00 p.m. - Ryan Biller
7:00 p.m. - Joe Hollenbeck
8:00 p.m. - David Harnish

We would like congratulate several of our Mesick-Student Athletes who qualified for the MHSAA State Finals in Track this past Saturday! Trinity Harris, Kelsey Quiggin, Kayla McCoy, and Jillian Hillier qualified for the 4x100 relay. Trinity Harris also qualified for the state finals in the long jump. Grant Fleis qualified for the boys team in both the mile and two mile. Grant is no stranger to the state finals as he has also been there in Cross Country the last two seasons. Congratulations to all five student-athletes and best of luck to you next Saturday! Go Bulldogs!

The Mesick Adolescent Wellness Center & DHD#10 is offering a COVID immunization clinic for students, family members, and community members ages 12 and older. The clinic will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Mesick High School Media Center from 2-6 pm. Students between the ages of 12-15 years MUST have a parent/guardian present at the time of vaccination. For students ages 16-17 years old, parents/guardians do not need to be present as long as the attached consent/registration forms are completed and signed. Reminders:
• Please bring a copy of your insurance card, there will be no out of pocket cost to you. If you do not have insurance, there will be no charge for the vaccine.
• Complete the attached registration and consent form and bring to your appointment. (forms will be available at the clinic if you are unable to print them prior to your appointment)
• You will need to wait in the clinic for 15-30 minutes after vaccination.
• Please wear clothing that allows easy access to your upper arm to receive the vaccine.
• Pfizer vaccine is available for ages 12-17 years. J&J and Pfizer vaccines are available for age 18+.
• Second dose appointments will be at the Mesick Adolescent Wellness Center on Monday, June 14, 2021 and will be scheduled at the time of your first vaccination.

Kindergarten Round-Up


A Huge thank you to 44North of Cadillac. They held a book drive in their office and donated all of the books to our elementary library.


Just a reminder that the Senior Awards Ceremony is this Sunday May 23rd at 5:00 pm in the gym. Each senior is allowed to bring 4 guests and masks and social distancing will be required. The event will be live streamed on the Facebook page for families and the community as well.

Ivy has participated in the Public Safety & Early College Programs at CTC the last two years. She will attend Baker College for her Associates Degree, followed by the Police Academy at Kirtland College, to pursue a career in criminal justice. Congrats, Ivy! We are so proud!


Cole is planning to pursue a career in the business field. He will be graduating with honors & attending Grand Valley State University with an academic scholarship. Congratulations, Cole! We are so proud of you! We wish you the best!


Caden has excelled academically throughout his high school career. After graduating with honors, he plans to enter the work force. Congratulations, Caden! We are proud of you, & we wish you well!


We would like to congratulate our girls varsity softball team for clinching an outright WMD Conference Championship on Monday night. This is the first softball conference championship since 2010. We would also like to congratulate our boys baseball team for being ranked 8th in the state by the MHSBCA! Both teams play in McBain tonight, Softball is in Onekama tomorrow for a 4:15 start, and both teams are in Frankfort on Friday night. We will more have announcements tomorrow recognizing more of our Mesick Student-Athletes! Go Bulldogs!

The health department will be hosting a Covid-19 vaccine clinic for students ages 12 and up on Monday, May 24 from 2:00-6:00PM at the Mesick High School Media Center. The second dose will be administered on June 14, 2021 at the high school media center. Please be on the look out for more information and a registration form tomorrow.

Josie has been an outstanding student throughout school. She will be attending the University of Michigan this fall, where she has been awarded the HAIL Scholarship, which is a full-tuition scholarship valued at nearly $70,000 over four years. Congrats, Josie! We are so proud!


Shaelyn has explored career options through CTC's Hospitality and Public Safety Programs. Although she will not be pursuing careers in those fields, her time at CTC has helped her develop good job skills. She has recently decided she would like to pursue a career in cosmetology.
