8th graders had the pleasure of going to the Wexford-Missaukee Agriculture Day this last week! This is a collaborative, event designed to highlight the vital role agriculture plays in our local economy and community.





Lots of great results for Cross Country this week.
Middle School kicked things off on Tuesday at the Elk Rapids Invite, where 6 Bulldog runners earned Personal Bests!
Varsity was at Shepherd today for the Bluejay invite. The girls team took 11th place, with Alyssa Spicer earning a medal, and PR's for Alyssa, Jewlia Trowbridge and Paula Cuadra.
The boys team took 6th place out of 21 scoring teams, with Kyle Redman earning the victory and Ty Redman earning a medal in 4th place. Kyle Doty, Harper Musta and Connor Hiday also got new PRs.
The Elementary club has had a great turnout at each practice as well!
Home meet on Wednesday, October 1st. Come out and support these talented, hardworking runners!

It's Game Day! The Mesick Bulldogs JV Football team will host the Brethren Bobcats tonight on our home field. Game time is 6pm!

Mesick Volleyball is hosting a Tri-Meet tonight against Mason County Eastern and Marion. Our JV plays in the Elementary gym while Varsity will be in the High School gym, both games starting @ 5pm. Tonight, will also be SENIOR Night, honoring our senior volleyball players Avery Linna (#4), Celeste Hallet (#10), Kylie Sexton (#12), and Alyssa Spicer (#3). Come out and support the teams and seniors! Go Bulldogs!

The PTO is having the book fair next week at the elementary! Flyers have come home so they have a preview of books that are coming. Thank you PTO for all you do for our students, families, and teachers.

Just a quick reminder that flu season is here — if you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, now’s a great time to do it. Getting vaccinated helps protect you and those around you.
Flu shots are available at the Mesick Wellness Center (See attached flyer), most local pharmacies and healthcare provider, and it only takes a few minutes.

The students in CPA (Career Preparation Academy) took part in five field trips related to career exploration this past week. These events took place at CTC. The visit was meaningful and encouraging to the students. The participants had a chance to build relationships with CTC instructors, para-pros, and current students as they explored a variety of career pathways.

Mesick PTO has brought back the Scholastic Book Fair! 9/29-10/3 students will have an opportunity to shop on a day picked by their classroom teacher and any makeups will be able to shop on Friday as well. Cross Country with another great day at the Glen Lake Invite! The Bulldogs are coming home with 8 medals, a runner-up trophy and an individual champion!
Our runners were up to the task of the challenging course in the Leelanau County hills!
