Elementary School students practicing our core values of honor, determination, responsibility and self-control with a fun head, shoulders, cup game after our PBIS assembly. It took amazing self-control and responsibility to get all K-5 students lined up to start the game! They showed honor by stepping back when they lost and cheering on their classmates. They showed determination when they stayed focused and ready to grab the cup!
Tomorrow's varsity softball game vs Cadillac has been changed to Wednesday, 4-16.
All student-athletes are required to have a current sports physical on file to participate in any school-sponsored sports activities. We have the dates for next year’s school sports physicals. Our very own Wyatt Putney made it official yesterday when he signed to attend Albion. Wyatt will join the Albion Briton's track team and enter the kinesiology program to pursue his goal of becoming a physical therapist.
Floyd M. Jewett Elementary will be providing summer reading support through the Kids Read Now program to prevent the summer reading slide and help close the achievement gap. We invite all elementary students and their parents/guardians to attend a Family Reading Night, where students will choose their books, and parents/guardians can learn more about the Kids Read Now program.
Family Reading Night will take place on May 8, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in the elementary cafeteria. Please RSVP by April 24, 2025.

As a school, we would like to come together and have a bake sale to help benefit the Carter family, who recently lost their home in a fire last week. The bake sale will be Tuesday, April 8th, during the junior and senior high lunches.
We will have lots of individually wrapped goodies starting at $.50.
You may also make a donation to the Carter family if you would like.

2025 - 2026 Kindergarten Round-Up Information.
Kindergarteners have been studying the seasons and weather and finished up our unit with a visit from local meteorologist, Haley Fiachetti! They drew their forecast at the end of her presentation and some were shared today on the news! They predicted a tornado, a thunderstorm, a sunny day, and a beach vacation day in Florida!
Reminder! This Friday, March 21st, will be a 1/2 day, with a noon dismissal! Spring break starts March 24th-28th. Hope everyone enjoys the week off and stays safe!
