Dear Mesick Consolidated School Community,
Unfortunately, I have to inform you that we had a student that attends Mesick Jr/Sr High School and a student that attends Mesick Elementary that has tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals, as well as close contacts, are required to quarantine for 10 days. All close contacts have been notified.
Parents have been doing a wonderful job by keeping their kids home when they do not feel well. This allows for less exposure to the virus and often less time for students to quarantine. Please keep in mind that test results can still take several days. Mesick Adolescent Wellness Center located in the Mesick Junior/Senior High School does offer free rapid Covid 19 testing (Insurance will be billed for the administration of the test but there will be no additional cost to you). You will receive the results within 15-30 minutes. This testing is available for Mesick students by appointment only. To schedule an appointment please call 231-306-3010.
Watch for symptoms of COVID-19 illness, which are;
fever or chills
cough
shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
fatigue
muscle or body aches
headache
the new loss of taste or smell
sore throat
congestion or runny nose
nausea or vomiting
diarrhea
