SCHOOL SUCCESS WORKER

The Elementary School Success Worker plays a vital role in ensuring every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential by identifying and addressing barriers to student success, facilitating targeted interventions, connecting families to resources, and fostering a positive school climate.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree or higher with current certification/licensure in elementary education, counseling, social work, and/or educational leadership.  MSW preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Establish positive relationships/ serve as a liaison between the school, the community, and families, including identifying and supporting McKinney-Vento students.

·         Review student data regularly and build or modify support plans accordingly.

·         Participate in team meetings, the school improvement process, and staff professional development sessions

·         Assist teachers and staff in maintaining an environment conducive to learning

·         Identify students exhibiting social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, monitor progress, and use data to adjust interventions.

·         Provide individual and small group support that focuses on social-emotional learning, problem-solving skills, Restorative Practices, conflict resolution, and self-regulation.

·         Assist in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and maintain CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification.

·         Develop and maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, interventions, and outcomes, including 504s, Safety Plans, and Positive Behavior Support Plans.

·         Oversee the elementary Reflection Room, social-emotional resources, Check In-Check Out, and behavior paraprofessionals.

Full-time position to begin the 2025-2026 school year.

SCHOOL SAFETY OFFICER

DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS, REPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

 Bachelor or Associate degree in a law enforcement related field is preferred.  Under the direction of the superintendent, and in cooperation with the elementary and JR/SR high school principals, the school safety officer coordinates and oversees all aspects of security for the school district.  This includes, but is not limited to, day to day activities related to the security of our students, staff, and buildings, as well as the design and implementation of various security drills and procedures.  The school safety officer will also assist with the supervision of students in the cafeteria, hallways, and in general throughout the school day.

 This is a full-time position.  This is not a union position.
