Tutoring Program for Jr./Sr. High Students
Mesick JR/SR High School is excited to announce an after school tutoring program designed to assist students in math, science, social studies and English. The tutoring program will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:25 p.m.-4:25 p.m. This program begins on Monday, April 30th and ends on Monday, June 4th. The program will be continued in the fall and run for the 2012-2013 school year.
Two faculty members will be assigned to help students with all levels of Math/Science classes and all levels of English/Social Studies classes. The tutoring program will operate as a “drop in style” option for students interested in homework completion or extra help with core subjects. Students do not need to sign up in advance or be referred by a teacher to attend. Students will be required to sign in when they arrive at tutoring and are required to stay for the entire period.
To make this program more successful and attainable for everyone, Mesick JR/SR High School will provide bussing for all students. Students that come to tutoring will be required to sign in, and stay for the entire period. After tutoring dismissal at 4:25 p.m. students will be bussed home. Students that are not participating in the after school tutoring program, will not be allowed to ride the tutoring busses. Current Mesick School bus drivers will be driving the tutoring busses. One driver will take the South and Western route, while the other driver will take the North and Eastern route. We believe all students will be dropped off at home no later than 5:30 p.m.
Mesick JR/SR High School is excited to be offering this program to all students and hope that you and your children will find it useful. Mesick JR/SR High School faculty and administration believe that failure is not an option for any student and to that end we have developed this program to ensure academic success. Please contact the Superintendent’s office at 231-885-2727 with further questions.
Ordering transcripts for college goes online
This year something's missing from the registrar's office. The phone isn't ringing, students aren't coming in the door, and the forms for ordering transcripts are gone. Why? Because the school office has put the system for ordering transcripts where students want it: on the Web. Thanks to a new service called Secure Transcript™, you can now request transcripts online, and have them sent directly to colleges. All you'll have to do is look for the Secure Transcript link on the school website and log in.
Secure Transcript™ is provided by Docufide, Inc, which takes care of sending out official transcripts, checked and approved by the school, to the colleges and scholarship funds you choose. You'll get an email when each transcript is sent, and for colleges that accept transcripts electronically, when they receive it as well.
So if you're applying to college this year, you'll find transcripts are one less thing you have to worry about.
Click here to go to Docufide for your transcript.
