IMPORTANT NEWS FROM WEXFORD COUNTY CLERK ELAINE RICHARDSON:

School Board Election for November 4, 2014 - Mesick Consolidated Schools - three 6-year terms available for candidates

Anyone interested in running for school board positions must file an Affidavit of Identity and either circulate petitions or pay a filing fee of $100.  Either one of these must be received by the County Clerk's Office on or before July 22, 2014 by 4:00 p.m.  If you circulate petitions you must collect between 6-20 signatures from qualified and registered electors within your district and we will only certify the required amount.  Remember that petitions are exclusive to each township/city within the school district.

Each candidate must complete an affidavit of identity along with their circulated petitions or their $100 filing fee.  For those candidates that may spend or receive more than $1000 in campaign funds, you must complete a "Statement of Organization" and keep track of all your expenses and revenues.  Further reporting requirements must be met by the candidate and we have the forms and instructions in the Clerk's Office.

Affidavit of Identity forms and petitions are available in the superintendent's office.

Ordering transcripts for college goes online

This year something's missing from the registrar's office. The phone isn't ringing, students aren't coming in the door, and the forms for ordering transcripts are gone. Why? Because the school office has put the system for ordering transcripts where students want it: on the Web. Thanks to a new service called Secure Transcript™, you can now request transcripts online, and have them sent directly to colleges. All you'll have to do is look for the Secure Transcript link on the school website and log in.

Secure Transcript™ is provided by Docufide, Inc, which takes care of sending out official transcripts, checked and approved by the school, to the colleges and scholarship funds you choose. You'll get an email when each transcript is sent, and for colleges that accept transcripts electronically, when they receive it as well.

So if you're applying to college this year, you'll find transcripts are one less thing you have to worry about.

Click here to go to Docufide for your transcript.
