COVID-19 UPDATE – September 2, 2021

Dear Mesick Consolidated Schools Community,

Unfortunately, I have to inform you that two students, one who attends Jewett Elementary and one who attends Mesick JR/SR High School, have tested positive for COVID-19.  These individuals, as well as close contacts, are required to quarantine for 10 days.  All close contacts have been notified.

Please keep your child home when they do not feel well.  Again, we do recommend that all students wear a mask while indoors at school, regardless of vaccination status.  This allows for less exposure to the virus and often no requirement to quarantine.

Please keep in mind that test results can still take several days.  Mesick Adolescent Wellness Center, located in the Mesick JR/SR High School, does offer free rapid COVID 19 testing (insurance will be billed for the administration of the test but there will be no additional cost to you).  You will receive the results within 15-30 minutes.  This testing is available for Mesick students.  Please contact the Wellness Center @ 231-306-3010 for more information.
