MATH TEACHER

JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL

 Qualifications:

 · 6-12 Math certification required

· Must be knowledgeable of Common Core State Standards and strategies to meet the

      academic, developmental, and social-emotional needs of students

· Competency in the administration and interpretation of academic assessments

· Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective, and long lasting relationships with students, peers, parents, and community

K-12 Full-Time Athletic Director


DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree is preferred - candidate must have 90 credit hours.  Under the direction of the school

principal, and in cooperation with the staff of the department, he/she plans, coordinates, implements and

evaluates the athletic program at the high school level in conformance with the high school handbook.

The Athletic Director will also assist with supervision of students in the cafeteria and hallways.                   

Experience as an Athletic Director is preferred.

SUPERVISOR:  Principal

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):  

1. Hire coaches.  Require pre-season and post-season meetings with coaches.

2. Responsible for the orientation of all coaches regarding site and district policies,

procedures and expectations; and ensures that all coaches comply with MHSAA rules and

procedures.  Teach, mentor and assure the development and improvement of coaches.

3. Purchase all equipment and uniforms and maintain inventories.

4. Responsible for the development of a schedule of varsity and junior varsity and junior high events.

5. Responsible for development and oversight of Athletic Department budget.

6. Schedule all competitions, including transportation, officials and game manager.


7. Verify that all athletes are medically cleared, have been released by parents and have signed the Athletic
Code of Conduct Form.

8. Verify that all athletes are academically eligible to compete.

9. Be a support network for present and future Mesick youth sports.

10.
  Assist with supervision of students in the cafeteria and hallways at lunchtime and transition times.

11.
  Substitute teach when needed.

12.
  Assist students with assignments

13.
  Ability to prep fields and gyms for competitions.
14.  Ability to assist with truancy.

15. Other duties as assigned by Principal.

WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY:

This is a full-time non-union position.  Work schedule and salary will be as determined by the

Superintendent.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUCCESS WORKER

FULL-TIME POSITION

Position to begin with the start of the 2017-2018 school year.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree or higher with current certification/licensure in elementary education, counseling, social work and/or educational leadership

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with building administrator to support teachers’ efforts in reaching growth goals in the classroom and with individual students

· Help with plans to refocus students with behavioral, attendance and/or academic struggles

· Communicate effectively and regularly with staff, students, and families

· Assist with supervision of students throughout the day

· Maintain accurate discipline, attendance and other data required for district, state, and federal reports

· Establish positive relationships with parents, parent groups, volunteers and outside agencies

· Possess knowledge & ability to apply best practices and current research in helping staff, students, and families

· Communicate clearly and timely with staff and parents in developing behavior plans & supports for students

· Participate in team meetings, the school improvement process, and staff professional development sessions

· Participate in RTI and MTSS planning and implementation

· Assist teachers in maintaining a classroom atmosphere and environment conducive to learning and highest student achievement

· Be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention

· Assist and work with recess/cafeteria staff on creating positive recess practices
